Paige and her daughter Pearl were rescued from a failed rescue in December 2009.  Both were pregnant at the time of their rescue. Six days after arriving Paige gave birth to her litter, and in February Pearl had a litter as well.

It was a rough time for both mothers; Paige was exhausted, having been bred continuously for about 2 years and Pearl, who was only a year old, had already been bred twice.  Additionally, animals should not be bred to give birth in the winter but with the help of many great vets miracles happened.

THANK YOU   THANK YOU   THANK YOU
to the wonderful veterinarians who provided expert care, advice and support:
Dr. Meredith Bird-Veterinary Services of Wickford,  Dr. Max Balmforth-N. Kingstown Animal Hospital, Tufts University Ambulatory Service and Dr. Chan from the wildlife clinic.

Veterinary care and expenses associated with the care of Paige, Pearl and their piglets have been quite high.

Please support Potbelly Manor's efforts to spay/neuter the piglets, provide them with the necessary veterinary care and give Paige, Pearl and their piglets healthy, happy lives.
