Smith &
Agli's Potbelly Manor is a potbelly pig rescue dedicated to improving the lives of unwanted pigs.
Located near the historic village of Wickford on Narragansett Bay in Rhode Island, we have been rescuing and advocating
for potbelly pigs for 15 years. In addition to the special-needs pigs who are permanent residents our farm also
has a 2,400 lb Ayshire cow named Bette Davis, goats, pigeons, turkeys, a duck named Aflac, and other animals who
keep the pigs company. Audrey Agli and Liz Smith founded Smith
& Agli's Potbelly Manor in 1995, inspired by the rescue of Skipper, an abused pig from the streets of Providence
who was about to be killed. Liz is featured in the June 2010 issue of Natural Awakening: http://june2010.rinaturalawakenings.com/

Ariel, the current queen piggy of the rescue visits local schools to teach children about being kind to animals and spreads
cheer at nursing homes. Ariel had her tv debut on June 25th.

Help wanted: Farm
hand volunteer: We are looking for someone who can help out at some or all of the following
times: 1. between the hours of approx. 4-5:30 a.m. one weekend a month to do the morning chores while Audrey does
military duty. 2. 3:30 pm-5:30 pm Monday-Friday to help with afternoon feeding, watering, animal care. These are good opportunities for a vet school student or vet tech to get experience with a variety of species. Animal
experience is not necessary however-just a genuine desire to care for animals and learn.
Artist:
Artist wanted to paint murals on fencing, mailboxes, statuary.
Free
organic manure: Bags of organic manure are free for the taking by the road
in front of the farm. Our animals are fed only high-quality feed with no chemicals which means the manure will make
great compost for your garden!
Our latest rescues-Paige & Pearl!
Paige & Pearl were rescued from a situation of neglect; both were pregnant
when they arrived, although Pearl kept her secret until February. Under normal circumstances piglets should never be
born in the winter so we were put to the test!
